C1 — 8-dars: Ilg'or kollokatsiyalar (so'zlar tabiiy birikishi — IELTS 9 ustuni)

C1 — ILG'OR · 8-dars · (kengaytirilgan chuqurlik) · IELTS band 9 — Lexical Resource

1. Dars nomi, maqsad va motivatsiya

Collocation (kollokatsiya) — ma'lum so'zlarning tabiiy ravishda birga kelishi: make a decision (do/take emas), heavy rain (strong/big emas), do research (make emas), strong coffee (powerful emas). Grammatik jihatdan "do a decision" xato emas — lekin native hech qachon shunday demaydi. Kollokatsiya — gapni grammatik to'g'ri emas, balki tabiiy va "native" qiladigan narsa.

Bu — IELTS band 9 ning markaziy ustuni. IELTS Lexical Resource band 9 deskriptori: "uses vocabulary with full flexibility and precise use; rare minor slips only". Band 7-8 da kollokatsiyada "ba'zi noaniqliklar" bo'ladi; band 9 da deyarli xatosiz, mutlaqo tabiiy. Native miyasi so'zlarni yakka emas, juftlik bo'lib saqlaydi — make a decision bitta blok. Siz ham shu "miyadagi lug'at"ni qurasiz.

Sizning maqsadingiz — IELTS 9 va masofaviy ish — uchun kollokatsiya hal qiluvchi: conduct research, meet a deadline, pose a threat, draw a conclusion — bu juftliklarsiz ingliz tili "kitobiy" va "chet ellik" eshitiladi; ular bilan — ravon va professional.

ASOSIY tushuncha — so'zlar "do'st tanlaydi". Har so'zning "do'stlari" bor — u faqat ma'lum so'zlar bilan birga keladi:

Tushuncha Tabiiy (collocation) Grammatik to'g'ri, lekin g'alati
qaror qabul qilmoq make a decision do/take a decision
kuchli yomg'ir heavy rain strong/big rain
tadqiqot olib bormoq conduct/do research make research
yolg'on aytmoq tell a lie say a lie

Kollokatsiyani "mantiq" bilan topib bo'lmaydi — uni eshitib, o'qib, yodlab o'rganasiz (juftlik bo'lib).

O'xshatish — "qadam tashlash" (idiomatik birikma). O'zbekcha "qaror qabul qilmoq"qaror faqat qabul qilmoq bilan keladi (qaror yasamoq ). Ingliz tilida ham xuddi shunday: make a decision. Har tilning o'z "do'stlik tarmog'i" bor — va ular mos kelmaydi (o'zbekcha "qabul qilmoq" inglizcha "make", "accept" emas!). Shuning uchun so'zma-so'z tarjima — kollokatsiya xatosining asosiy manbai (L1 transfer).

Til-fakti: native so'zlashuvchining ravonligi (fluency) asosan kollokatsiya bloklari bilan gapirishdan keladi — har so'zni alohida tanlamaydi, balki tayyor "bloklar"ni (as a matter of fact, take into account, bear in mind, make an effort) chiqaradi. Tilshunoslar buni "formulaic language" deydi — ingliz nutqining ~50%i tayyor bloklar. Band 9 = shu bloklarni xatosiz va tabiiy ishlatish. Yakka so'z yodlash (band 6) blok/kollokatsiya yodlash (band 9) — bu, fikrlash o'zgarishi.

2. Avvalgi darslardan takror (spiral)

  • C1-7 (kuchaytiruvchilar): deeply concerned, highly likely — ravish+sifat kollokatsiyasi. Bugun barcha turlari.
  • B1-33 / LUGAT 36-37 (phrasal verbs, kollokatsiya): asoslar. Bugun ilg'or + akademik.
  • B2-6 (so'z oilalari): so'z + uning odatiy hamrohi.
  • C1-6 (hedging): the evidence suggests — kollokatsiya.
  • Tez mashq: "___ a decision" (make/do/take?) make. "___ research" conduct/do. "___ rain" (kuchli) heavy.

3. Grammatika — chuqur, to'liq tushuntirish

3.1. Kollokatsiya turlari (so'z turkumlari bo'yicha)

text
FE'L + OT: make a decision · take a risk · do research · pay attention

3.2. FE'L + OT — eng muhim guruh (delexical fe'llar)

make, do, have, take, give, get — "bo'sh" fe'llar; ma'no otda. Qaysi fe'l qaysi ot bilan — qat'iy:

text
MAKE: a decision, a mistake, an effort, progress, an arrangement, a suggestion,
a profit, a difference, a choice, a promise, an excuse, an offer, a discovery
DO: research, homework, business, damage, harm, a favour, the housework, your best,
an experiment, exercise, a course, the dishes

GIVE: a speech, a hand, advice, a lift, permission, a presentation, an example, the impression
GET: permission, a job, the chance, a feeling, the impression, results, in touch

make vs do — eng katta xato: make = yaratish/natija (make a cake, make a plan); do = faoliyat/vazifa (do homework, do a job). do a mistake make a mistake . make homework do homework .

3.3. SIFAT + OT — "kuch" so'zlari

Bir tushuncha turli otlar bilan turli sifat oladi (hammasi "kuchli"!):

text
"kuchli/ko'p": heavy rain/traffic/smoker · strong coffee/accent/argument
                deep sleep/trouble/concern · high hopes/risk/demand
                great difficulty/importance · severe weather/damage · bitter cold
"zaif/kam": light rain/breeze · weak coffee/signal · faint smell · slight chance
QAT'IY (fixed): vested interest · foregone conclusion · ulterior motive
vicious circle · daunting task · staunch supporter · glaring error

"strong rain" heavy rain; "powerful coffee" strong coffee; "big mistake" (lekin make a mistake). Har ot o'z "kuch sifati"ni tanlaydi.

3.4. Akademik kollokatsiyalar (IELTS Writing band 9)

Akademik yozuvning standart bloklari — IELTS Task 2 uchun oltin:

text
conduct/carry out research · draw/reach a conclusion · pose/present a threat
play a (vital) role · address/tackle an issue · meet a need/demand
provide/offer evidence · gain insight into · raise concerns/awareness
have a (significant) impact on · implement/adopt a policy · achieve a goal/aim
pose a question · shed light on · take into account · bear in mind
strike a balance · gain momentum · set a precedent · widen the gap
place emphasis on · exert influence/pressure · undergo a change

3.5. PREDLOG kollokatsiyalari (bog'liq predlog)

Ko'p ot/sifat/fe'l ma'lum predlog talab qiladi (B1-33 ilg'or):

text
OT + predlog: a need FOR · an increase IN · a reason FOR · a solution TO
an effect ON · a demand FOR · access TO · an alternative TO
SIFAT + predlog: aware OF · capable OF · responsible FOR · similar TO · dependent ON
FE'L + predlog: depend ON · result IN · contribute TO · cope WITH · benefit FROM
TAYYOR BLOK: on the whole · in the long run · at first glance · under no circumstances
by and large · for the sake of · in terms of · with regard to

3.6. Kuchli (strong) vs zaif (weak) kollokatsiya

text
ZAIF (erkin — ko'p variant): a good time, a nice day, a big house, very happy
KUCHLI (qat'iy — bitta variant): a foregone conclusion, an ulterior motive,
to bear fruit, to take its toll, a vested interest, a moot point
IDIOMATIK (eng qat'iy): the lion's share, a blessing in disguise, food for thought

Zaif kollokatsiyada so'z almashtirsa bo'ladi (good/nice/lovely time). Kuchli kollokatsiyada — yo'q (foregone conclusion — boshqa sifat ishlamaydi). Band 9 = kuchli/idiomatik kollokatsiyalarni to'g'ri bilish.

4. Native nozikliklari va qo'shimcha qoidalar

  • "say vs tell" — klassik kollokatsiya: tell a lie/the truth/a story/a joke/the time/the difference; say something/a word/hello/sorry/a prayer. say me tell me. say a lie tell a lie.
  • Delexical "have/take a + ot" (AmE/BrE): have a shower/bath/rest (BrE) take a shower/bath/rest (AmE). Ikkalasi to'g'ri — register/lahja.
  • Kollokatsiya kuchaytiruvchi bilan birga: make a (huge) difference, take (full) responsibility, play a (crucial) role, have a (profound) impact — sifatni ichkariga joylang (C1-7 + kollokatsiya birga = band 9).
  • "a + ot of" miqdor kollokatsiyalari: a pang of guilt, a glimmer of hope, a burst of energy, a token of, a stroke of luck, a hint of, a wave of — aniq, "native" miqdor iboralari.
  • Fe'l + ravish (manner): apologise profusely, deny categorically, deteriorate rapidly, fluctuate wildly, rain heavily — akademik/aniq.
  • Kuchaytiruvchi ravish ham "do'st tanlaydi": har sifat o'z maxsus kuchaytiruvchisini oladi — bitterly disappointed, deeply grateful, painfully aware, blissfully unaware, ridiculously cheap, hopelessly lost, bitterly cold, fully aware, keenly aware. very disappointed grammatik to'g'ri, lekin bitterly disappointed — aynan band 9 aniqligi. Bir kuchaytiruvchini har sifatga yopishtirib bo'lmaydi: strongly happy , deeply cheap , highly happy . Kuchaytiruvchi + sifat juftligini ham birga yodlang (C1-7 ravish+sifat mavzusining kollokatsion tomoni).
  • Kalka (so'zma-so'z tarjima) — asosiy xato: o'zbekcha/ruscha iborani to'g'ridan tarjima qilmang. "close a deal" () emas "close a bargain"; "open a business" emas "open a deal". Har juftlikni alohida o'rganing.

5. Ko'p misollar — guruh bo'yicha (IELTS uslubida)

text
FE'L+OT (akademik): The study draws a clear conclusion. · We must address this issue.
The policy plays a key role. · Technology has a profound impact.

KUCHLI/IDIOMATIK: The decision took its toll. · Reform is a foregone conclusion.
                     Their efforts finally bore fruit.

  • There is no denying that......ni inkor etib bo'lmaydi.
  • It goes without saying that......o'z-o'zidan ma'lum.
  • to all intents and purposesaslida, amalda (idiomatik blok)

Native siri (IELTS 9): kollokatsiyani kuchaytiruvchi bilan birga ishlating — bu band 9 "full flexibility" ko'rsatadi: "play a pivotal role", "have a far-reaching impact", "pose a grave threat", "draw a firm conclusion", "make a conscious effort". Ya'ni: aniq sifat (C1-7) + akademik kollokatsiya (bugun) birga — bu kombinatsiya examiner uchun aniq band 9 signali.

8. Dialog (kollokatsiya — IELTS Writing/professional muhokama)

Researcher: So, how should we present the findings? You: Well, first we need to draw a clear conclusion from the data. The results play a key role in supporting our argument. Researcher: Agreed. And the implications? You: The trend poses a real threat to the industry. If we don't address the issue soon, it could have a lasting impact. We should raise awareness before it's too late. Researcher: True. But we must take into account the limitations. You: Absolutely. We need to strike a balance between caution and urgency. Let's bear in mind that the sample was small, so the conclusion isn't quite a foregone conclusion. Researcher: Good point. When's the deadline? You: Friday — and we simply have to meet it. Honestly, we've made significant progress, but there's still work to do. It's a daunting task, but I'm confident we'll rise to the challenge.

Tahlil: draw a conclusion, play a key role, pose a threat, address the issue, have a lasting impact, raise awareness, take into account, strike a balance, bear in mind, a foregone conclusion, meet a deadline, made significant progress, a daunting task, rise to the challenge14 ta kuchli/akademik kollokatsiya professional suhbatda. Bu — IELTS band 9 lexical range.

9. O'qish — graded matn (C1 — kollokatsiyaga boy, IELTS akademik)

The hidden architecture of fluency

Ask a learner what separates them from a native speaker, and most will point to vocabulary or grammar. Yet the truth lies elsewhere — in a quieter, almost invisible feature of language: collocation, the way words keep company with one another.

A native speaker does not make research or do a decision; they conduct the former and make the latter. They draw conclusions, meet deadlines, pose questions, and bear consequences in mind — never pausing to wonder why. These pairings are not governed by logic but by convention, accumulated over a lifetime of listening and reading. To the native, heavy rain and strong coffee feel inevitable; strong rain simply grates.

For the learner aiming at the highest bands, this poses both a challenge and an opportunity. The challenge is that collocations cannot be reasoned out — they must be absorbed. The opportunity is that mastering them yields an immediate, dramatic gain in fluency. A single well-placed phrase — strike a balance, gain momentum, a foregone conclusion — can do more to convince an examiner than a paragraph of carefully constructed grammar.

The lesson, then, is to read widely and to record not words but partnerships. For it goes without saying that, when it comes to sounding truly fluent, it is not the words we know that count, but the company they keep.

Topshiriq: Matndan 10 ta kollokatsiya toping (conduct research, draw conclusions, meet deadlines, pose a challenge, strike a balance, gain momentum...). Ularning o'zbekcha tarjimasini ayting — qaysi biri so'zma-so'z tarjima qilib bo'lmaydi?

10. Tipik xatolar (L1 transfer / kalka + IELTS)

Xato (kalka/tarjima) Sababi To'g'risi
do a decision / take a decision make a decision make a decision
make homework / make research do/conduct kerak do homework / conduct research
say a lie / say me tell kerak tell a lie / tell me

open the TV / close the light turn on/off turn on the TV / turn off the light
make sport / do sport (umumiy) play/do play football / do exercise
reach a goal (ba'zan OK), but "arrive a goal" achieve achieve/reach a goal

Asosiy tuzoq (IELTS): (1) make (yaratish) vs do (faoliyat) — eng katta xato; (2) say (gap) vs tell (kimga); (3) har ot o'z "kuch sifati" (heavy rain, strong coffee); (4) so'zma-so'z tarjima qilmang — juftlikni o'rganing; (5) akademik: conduct research, draw conclusion, pose threat (make emas).

11. Chuqur tahlil — qo'shimcha faktlar va nozikliklar (IELTS 9 fokusi)

C1 dan C2 ga ko'prik.

(a) IELTS band 9 vs 8 — kollokatsiya aniqligi. Band 8: "skilful use... occasional inaccuracies in collocation." Band 9: "full flexibility and precise use; rare minor slips only." Farq — kollokatsiya xatosizligi. Band 8 da "make a research" kabi 1-2 xato bo'lishi mumkin; band 9 da deyarli yo'q. Bu dars shu farqni yopadi.

(b) "Formulaic language" — ravonlik siri. Native nutqning ~50%i tayyor bloklar (as a matter of fact, to be honest, at the end of the day, when it comes to). Bular tezlik beradi — miya har so'zni alohida tanlamaydi. Band 9 ravonligi (fluency) shu bloklardan keladi. Yakka so'z bilan gapirish — sekin, "kitobiy".

(c) Kollokatsiya yodlash strategiyasi. So'zni yolg'iz emas, hamrohi bilan yozing: yangi concerned so'zini "deeply concerned", decision ni "make a decision" deb yozing (LUGAT formati). Oxford Collocations Dictionary — har ot uchun odatiy fe'l/sifatlar ro'yxati. O'qiyotganda kollokatsiyalarni ajratib belgilang.

(d) "Lexical chunks" — band 9 yozuv. Yozuvda tayyor akademik bloklar: "It is widely acknowledged that...", "There is growing concern over...", "This raises the question of whether...", "A case in point is...". Bular IELTS Task 2 da "cohesion + lexical resource" ikkalasini ko'taradi. Lekin klishe haddan ko'p bo'lmasin (mexanik tuyuladi).

(e) Idiomatik kollokatsiya — eng yuqori. Take its toll (zarar yetkazmoq), bear fruit (samara bermoq), a foregone conclusion, the lion's share, food for thought. Bular band 9 "idiomatic", lekin tabiiy va to'g'ri bo'lishi shart — noo'rin idiom band tushiradi. Speaking'da Writing'dan ko'proq.

(f) Madaniy/registr kollokatsiya. Ba'zi kollokatsiyalar rasmiy (render assistance, pose a question), ba'zilari og'zaki (grab a bite, take a peek). Registerga moslang (B2-54): IELTS Writing rasmiy kollokatsiya; Speaking tabiiy/og'zaki ham OK.

(g) Kollokatsiya + grammatika birga = band 9. Band 9 ikkala mezonni ham talab qiladi: aniq kollokatsiya ("draw a conclusion") + ilg'or grammatika ("It could be argued that the data, were they more extensive, would draw a firmer conclusion" — cleft/conditional/subjunctive). Darslar shuning uchun birga ishlaydi.

(h) "Delexical" fe'l — tejamkor emas, lekin tabiiy. "Have a look" (look dan ko'ra) yoki "make a decision" (decide dan ko'ra) — ko'proq so'z, lekin native afzal ko'radi (yumshoqroq, kengaytiriladigan: make a quick decision). Band 9 — qachon delexical, qachon yakka fe'l ishlatishni biladi.

(i) Antonim kollokatsiya. Kollokatsiya juftliklari ko'pincha qarama-qarshilik beradi: meet/miss a deadline, win/lose a battle, keep/break a promise, raise/lower standards, gain/lose momentum. Juftlikni antonimlari bilan o'rganish — boyroq, tizimli.

(j) "Collocation dictionary in your head" — C2 maqsadi. Pirovardida kollokatsiya intuitiv bo'ladi: "strong rain" eshitsangiz "g'ijinasiz" (xato sezasiz), "heavy rain" o'z-o'zidan keladi. Bu — minglab juftlikni o'qib/eshitib o'zlashtirish natijasi. Faol mashq: yangi sifat/fe'lni doim hamrohi bilan yozish + ishlatish.

C2 ko'prik (IELTS 9native): kollokatsiya — ravonlikning "yashirin arxitekturasi". C2/band 9 da siz so'zlarni bloklar bo'lib o'ylaysiz, juftliklar buzilmaydi, akademik va idiomatik kollokatsiyalar tabiiy keladi. Bu faqat boy input (kitob, maqola, podkast) + faol qayd (juftlik bo'lib yozish) bilan keladi — qoida bilan emas. Kollokatsiya + nuance + idiom + so'z oilalari — Lexical Resource arsenali to'liq. Keyingi darslar (idiomlar, phrasal verbs, sofistikatsiyalangan lug'at) buni yakunlaydi.

Masalan (A): "There is no denying that technology plays a pivotal role in modern life. However, it poses a real threat to face-to-face interaction and may have a profound impact on social skills. To address this issue, we must strike a balance between connectivity and genuine contact. On the whole, while the benefits are clear, we should bear in mind the hidden costs."

"Tayyor" mezonlari (IELTS band 9): (1) 6 xil kollokatsiya turi; (2) xatosiz (make/do, say/tell, heavy/strong to'g'ri); (3) kalka yo'q; (4) akademik kollokatsiya tabiiy; (5) kuchaytiruvchi bilan birlashtirilgan; (6) ravon, professional, "native" ohang.

Men javobingizni IELTS Lexical Resource band 9 deskriptori bo'yicha baholayman — kollokatsiya aniqligi, akademik range, tabiiylik bo'yicha. Har xato/noaniqlikni ko'rsatib, band ball taxminini aytaman.

14. Javoblar kaliti

A: 1. make · 2. do/conduct · 3. take · 4. give/make · 5. have/take · 6. make · 7. do · 8. take
