C1 — 10-dars: Phrasal verbs — ilg'or va idiomatik (native ravonlik — IELTS 9)
C1 — ILG'OR · 10-dars · (kengaytirilgan chuqurlik) · IELTS band 9 — register & range
1. Dars nomi, maqsad va motivatsiya
Phrasal verb — fe'l + zarra (ravish/predlog) birikmasi, ko'pincha idiomatik ma'no bilan: give up (tashlamoq), look after (qaramoq), put off (kechiktirmoq), come up with (o'ylab topmoq). Ular — ingliz tilining eng tirik, eng keng tarqalgan qismi: native har jumlada deyarli birortasini ishlatadi. Idiomlardan (C1-9) farqli — phrasal verb og'zaki ham, yozma ham (hatto ko'p rasmiy matnda) tabiiy.
IELTS band 9 da phrasal verb — ikki sababga ko'ra hal qiluvchi. (1) Ravonlik (Speaking): native phrasal verb bilan gapiradi; ulardan qochib, faqat lotincha so'z ishlatsangiz ("I will tolerate it" o'rniga "I'll put up with it") — "kitobiy", sun'iy eshitiladi. (2) Register nazorati (band 9): har phrasal verbning lotincha bir so'zli muqobili bor (put off = postpone, find out = discover, carry out = conduct) — band 9 nomzodi qaysi birini qachon ishlatishni biladi: Speaking phrasal; juda rasmiy Writing lotincha. Ikkalasini bilish — to'liq "flexibility" (band 9).
IELTS 9 va professional (masofaviy) ish uchun phrasal verb shart: "set up a meeting", "follow up on this", "roll out a feature", "look into the bug", "back up the data" — bularsiz texnik/professional ingliz tili "begona" eshitiladi.
ASOSIY tushuncha — phrasal verb = fe'l + zarra yangi ma'no. Zarra fe'l ma'nosini o'zgartiradi (ba'zan butunlay):
Fe'l + zarra = yangi ma'no give give up tashlamoq, taslim bo'lmoq look look after qaramoq, parvarish qilmoq put put off kechiktirmoq take take off uchmoq / yechmoq / muvaffaq bo'lmoq give (bermoq) + up = "tashlamoq" — zarra ma'noni butunlay o'zgartiradi. Shuning uchun phrasal verbni butun birlik sifatida o'rganasiz.
O'xshatish — "kimyoviy birikma". Phrasal verb — kimyo: vodorod (H) + kislorod (O) = suv (H₂O) — element xossalari yo'qoladi, yangi modda paydo bo'ladi. give + up = "give up" — yangi "modda", give ham, up ham emas. Va xuddi kimyodagidek, ba'zi birikmalar shaffof (sit down = o'tirmoq — mantiqiy), ba'zilari butunlay yangi (give up = tashlamoq — mantiqsiz). Birikmani element bilan tushunib bo'lmaydi — uni yaxlit bilish kerak.
Til-fakti: phrasal verb — ingliz tilining german (anglo-sakson) ildizidan, lotincha bir so'zli muqobil — fransuz/lotin ildizidan. Shuning uchun har juftlik: put off (german, og'zaki) = postpone (lotin, rasmiy), find out = discover/ascertain, go up = increase/ascend. Tarixiy: 1066-yilda normanlar (fransuz) Angliyani bosib oldi rasmiy/yuqori til lotincha, kundalik til anglo-sakson bo'ldi. Bugun bu register farqi beradi: phrasal = tabiiy/og'zaki; lotincha = rasmiy/akademik. Band 9 — ikkalasini boshqaradi.
2. Avvalgi darslardan takror (spiral)
- C1-9 (idiomlar): phrasal verb — idiomning fe'l turi. Bugun to'liq tizim.
- B1-32 / B2-36 (phrasal verbs): separable/inseparable asoslari. Bugun ilg'or + register.
- C1-8 (kollokatsiya): phrasal verb — fe'l kollokatsiyasi.
- B2-54 (register): phrasal vs lotincha — register nazorati.
- Tez mashq: "postpone" og'zakisi? (put off). "investigate"? (look into). "tolerate"? (put up with).
3. Grammatika — chuqur, to'liq tushuntirish
3.1. To'rt tur (grammatik tuzilish)
1. INTRANSITIVE (obyektsiz): break down, take off, give in, set off, show up
The car broke down. · The plane took off.
2. TRANSITIVE SEPARABLE (ajraladi): turn on/off, pick up, put off, give up, throw away
Turn on the light. = Turn the light on. = Turn it on. (it O'RTADA majburiy!)
3. TRANSITIVE INSEPARABLE (ajralmaydi): look after, deal with, get over, run into
Look after the baby. = Look after it. (Look it after )
4. THREE-WORD (har doim inseparable): look forward to, put up with, come up with,
get on with, run out of, catch up with, cut down on
I look forward to it. (look forward it to )3.2. Separable phrasal verb — olmosh qoidasi (eng muhim)
OT bilan — ikki joy mumkin:
Turn on the radio. Turn the radio on.
OLMOSH bilan — faqat O'RTADA:
Turn it on. Turn on it. Oltin qoida: ajraladigan phrasal verbda olmosh (it/them/him) har doim fe'l va zarra o'rtasiga keladi: pick it up, throw them away, put him off. Bu — eng ko'p xato joyi.
3.3. Polisemiya — bitta phrasal verb, ko'p ma'no (kontekst hal qiladi)
TAKE OFF: (1) uchmoq: The plane took off. (2) yechmoq: Take off your coat.
(3) muvaffaq bo'lmoq: The business took off. (4) tez ketmoq: He took off.
PICK UP: (1) ko'tarmoq (2) olib ketmoq (mashinada) (3) o'rganmoq (a language)

MAKE OUT: (1) ko'rib/eshitib ajratmoq (2) tushunmoq (3) da'vo qilmoqPhrasal verb ko'p ma'noli — kontekst to'g'ri ma'noni beradi. Bitta phrasal verbni o'rgansangiz, ko'p ma'nosini bilib oling (bu ravonlikni keskin oshiradi).
3.4. Phrasal verb lotincha muqobil (register nazorati — band 9)
| Phrasal (og'zaki/tabiiy) | Lotincha (rasmiy/akademik) | O'zbekcha |
|---|---|---|
| find out | discover / ascertain | bilib olmoq |
| put off | postpone | kechiktirmoq |
| look into | investigate | tekshirmoq |
| carry out | conduct / perform / execute | bajarmoq |
| go up / rise | increase | ko'tarilmoq |
| go down / drop | decrease / decline | tushmoq |
| put up with | tolerate / endure | chidamoq |
| bring about | cause / generate | keltirib chiqarmoq |

| cut down on | reduce | kamaytirmoq |
| point out | indicate / highlight | ko'rsatmoq |
| deal with | address / handle | hal qilmoq |
| take part in | participate in | qatnashmoq |
| get rid of | eliminate / remove | yo'qotmoq |
| come up with | devise / propose / generate | o'ylab topmoq |
Register qoidasi: Speaking + ko'p Writing phrasal (tabiiy). Juda rasmiy/akademik/texnik hujjat lotincha. IELTS Writing Task 2 — ikkalasi aralash OK (faqat phrasal — biroz norasmiy; faqat lotincha — quruq). Balans — band 9.
3.5. Zarra ma'no naqshlari (yangi phrasal verbni tushunish)
Zarralar ko'pincha izchil ma'no beradi — yangisini topishga yordam beradi:
UP = tugallik/oshish: finish up, use up, eat up, speak up, build up, sum up
OUT = to'liq/yo'qolish: find out, work out, run out, sort out, wipe out, die out
OFF = ajralish/bekor: take off, call off, put off, lay off, set off, see off
DOWN = kamayish/yozib olish: cut down, calm down, write down, break down, turn down
ON = davom/yoqish: carry on, go on, hold on, put on, keep on
OVER = takror/yengish: think over, take over, get over, go over, look overuse up (oxirigacha ishlatmoq — UP=tugallik), die out (yo'qolmoq — OUT=yo'qolish). Zarra mantiqini his qilsangiz, yangi phrasal verbni taxmin qilasiz.
3.6. Otlashgan phrasal verblar (nominalised — IELTS lug'at)
Ko'p phrasal verb otga aylanadi (defis bilan/birikkan):
break down a breakdown · set back a setback · turn out the outcome
break through a breakthrough · take over a takeover · feed back feedback
input · output · upgrade · onset · outbreak · downturn · outlook · backup"There was a breakdown in communication", "an economic downturn", "a major breakthrough", "back up vs a backup". Bu otlar akademik/professional yozuvda keng.
4. Native nozikliklari va qo'shimcha qoidalar
- Phrasal verb — Writing'da ham OK (idiomdan farqli): idiom asosan og'zaki; phrasal verb ko'p rasmiy yozuvda ham tabiiy ("the study points out", "carry out research", "the company set up a fund"). Faqat juda rasmiy/texnik kontekstda lotincha afzal.
- Texnik/IT phrasal verblar: roll out (a feature), back up (data), set up (a server), log in/out, boot up, shut down, scroll down, sign up, follow up, look into (a bug), push out, spin up, break down (a task). Bular IT muloqotida standart.
- Inseparable + olmosh: inseparable phrasal verbda olmosh oxirida: look after it, deal with them, get over it. (Separable'dan farqi — o'rtada emas.)
- Urg'u — "phrasal" vs "prepositional" fe'lni ajratadi (native quloq): haqiqiy phrasal verbda zarra ravish — urg'u zarraga tushadi: turn it OFF, pick it UP, give it aWAY. Predlogli fe'lda (look after, listen to, deal with) urg'u fe'lga: LOOK after it, LISten to it. Aynan shu sabab ravishli phrasal ajraladi (olmosh o'rtada), predlogli esa ajralmaydi (olmosh oxirida) — urg'u naqshi grammatik xatti-harakatni bashorat qiladi. Native buni ongsiz eshitadi; siz esa buni ongli bilib olasiz.
- "What ... for / Where ... from": phrasal/predlog gap oxirida qoladi: "What are you looking for?", "Where did you grow up?", "Who are you waiting for?" — bu tabiiy ingliz (predlogni oldinga olish — haddan rasmiy).
- Ko'p ma'no — kontekstdan: "pick up" — gapda nima haqida ekanini kontekst beradi (pick up the kids / pick up Spanish / sales picked up). Bitta forma, ko'p funksiya.
- Haddan lotinlashtirish ham xato (Speaking): "I will ascertain the information and subsequently postpone the meeting" — Speaking'da sun'iy/dabdabali. Tabiiy: "I'll find out and then put the meeting off". Register — ikkala yo'nalishda ham mos bo'lishi kerak.
5. Ko'p misollar — kontekstda (IELTS + professional)
ISH/IT: "We need to roll out the update and back up the database first."
"I'll look into the bug and follow up with you tomorrow."
"The team set up a new workflow to deal with the backlog."
KUNDALIK: "I grew up in a small town but moved away for work."
"My car broke down, so I had to put off the trip."
O'RGANISH: "I picked up some Japanese while travelling — it's starting to pay off."
"Don't give up; you'll get the hang of it eventually."
MUAMMO: "We ran into a few problems but managed to sort them out."
"It took me ages to get over the disappointment."
IELTS WRITING (aralash): "Governments must address the issue and bring about change.
Carrying out research can point out the underlying causes."6. Holat/case yechimlari
1. "Chiroqni yoq" + olmosh bilan.
- Ot: Turn on the light = Turn the light on. Olmosh: Turn it on. (Turn on it ).
2. "Bolaga qara" + olmosh (inseparable).
- Look after the baby = Look after it. (Look it after — inseparable, olmosh oxirida).
3. "Tekshirmoq" — Speaking vs rasmiy hujjat.
- Speaking: look into / find out. Rasmiy: investigate / ascertain. (band 9 — qaysi qachon).
4. "Men buni kutyapman" (intiqlik bilan) — three-word.

5. "The plane took off" — bu yerda "take off" qaysi ma'no?
- "uchmoq" (kontekst — samolyot). Boshqa kontekstda: yechmoq/muvaffaq bo'lmoq (polisemiya).
6. IT: "Funksiyani chiqaramiz va ma'lumotni zaxiralaymiz."
- We'll roll out the feature and back up the data. (texnik phrasal verb — native).
7. Kengaytirilgan lug'at + phrasal verb banki (IELTS 9 — mavzuli)
| Phrasal verb | Ma'no | Lotincha muqobil |
|---|---|---|
| come up with | o'ylab topmoq | devise / propose |
| carry out | bajarmoq | conduct / perform |
| look into | tekshirmoq | investigate |
| put up with | chidamoq | tolerate |
| cut down on | kamaytirmoq | reduce |
| bring about | keltirib chiqarmoq | cause |
| set up | tashkil qilmoq | establish |
| point out | ko'rsatmoq | indicate |
| get on with | davom etmoq / chiqishmoq | proceed / relate |
| run out of | tugab qolmoq | deplete |
| make up for | qoplamoq | compensate |
| take on | qabul qilmoq (ish/vazifa) | undertake / hire |
| call off | bekor qilmoq | cancel |
| turn down | rad etmoq | reject / decline |
| account for | tushuntirmoq / tashkil qilmoq | explain / constitute |
Tayyor iboralar (C1 — Speaking band 9, tabiiy phrasal):
- To sum up, ... — Xulosa qilib, ... (= in conclusion)
- It boils down to ... — Gap ... ga borib taqaladi.
- Let me get this straight. — Aniqlashtirib olay.
- That brings up another point. — Bu yana bir masalani ko'taradi.
Native siri (IELTS 9): Speaking'da phrasal verb ravonlik beradi — ulardan qo'rqmang. Lekin register flexibilityni ko'rsating: oddiy suhbatda "find out, put off, deal with" (phrasal), rasmiy fikrda "It's worth pointing out that..." yoki yozma "conduct research". Examiner sizning ikkala registrni boshqarishingizni ko'rsa — band 9. Bitta phrasal verbning ko'p ma'nosini ishlatish (take off — uch xil) ham "flexibility" ko'rsatadi.
8. Dialog (phrasal verb — IELTS Speaking + IT professional)
Interviewer: Tell me about a project you worked on. Candidate: Sure. Last year, our team set up a new payment system. We came up with the idea after customers kept running into errors at checkout. Interviewer: How did you go about it? Candidate: Well, first I looked into the existing code and pointed out several issues. It took a while to sort them out — a couple of bugs were really hard to track down. At one point I nearly gave up, but I stuck with it. Interviewer: And the result? Candidate: Once we rolled it out, complaints dropped off almost overnight. Sales actually picked up. We followed up with users to iron out any remaining problems. Honestly, it paid off — I learned a huge amount and really grew into the role. Interviewer: Impressive. Anything you'd do differently? Candidate: I'd back up more often and not put off testing until the end. But on the whole, it turned out well.
Tahlil: set up, came up with, running into, go about, looked into, pointed out, sort out, track down, gave up, stuck with, rolled out, dropped off, picked up, followed up, iron out, paid off, grew into, back up, put off, turned out — 20 phrasal verb professional/IT suhbatda, tabiiy va ravon. Bu — IELTS band 9 range + fluency. Diqqat: olmosh o'rtada (rolled it out, sort them out).
9. O'qish — graded matn (C1 — phrasal verbga oid, IELTS/register)
Two Englishes in one
There is a curious duality at the heart of English, and nowhere is it clearer than in the humble phrasal verb. For almost every everyday phrasal verb, there exists a more formal, Latin-derived twin. We put off a meeting in conversation, but postpone it in a memo. We find out the truth among friends, yet ascertain it in a report. We look into a problem casually, but investigate it officially.
This split traces back nearly a thousand years, to the Norman Conquest, when French became the language of power and Anglo-Saxon the language of the home. The legacy survives in register: the phrasal verb feels warm, direct, and natural; its Latinate counterpart, cool, formal, and distant.
For the learner, the implication is profound. To rely solely on Latinate verbs is to sound stiff and bookish — a common trap for those who learn English from textbooks rather than from life. Yet to use only phrasal verbs, even in formal writing, can seem too casual. True mastery lies in knowing which to reach for, and when.
The highest-scoring candidates, then, do not avoid phrasal verbs — they embrace them, deploying them fluently in speech while switching effortlessly to formal alternatives when the occasion demands. They carry, in effect, two Englishes in one — and they move between them without a second thought.
Topshiriq: Matndan 6 ta phrasal verb va ularning lotincha muqobilini toping (put off/postpone, find out/ascertain, look into/investigate...). Qaysi register qaysi vaziyatga mos?
10. Tipik xatolar (L1 transfer + phrasal verb)
| Xato | Sababi | To'g'risi |
|---|---|---|
| Turn on it | separable + olmosh o'rtada | Turn it on |
| Look it after | inseparable — olmosh oxirida | Look after it |
| I look forward it to | three-word inseparable | I look forward to it |
| Open the light / close the light | kalka (yoqmoq/o'chirmoq) | Turn on / turn off the light |
| (Speaking) I shall ascertain it | haddan lotincha | I'll find out |
| pick up the language quick | ravish | pick up the language quickly |
| give up to smoke | + V-ing | give up smoking |
| I'm looking forward to see you | to + V-ing! | looking forward to seeing you |
| discuss about / explain me | phrasal emas (kalka) | discuss it / explain to me |
Asosiy tuzoq (IELTS): (1) separable + olmosh o'rtada (turn it on); inseparable oxirida (look after it); (2) look forward to / get used to + V-ing (to bu yerda predlog!); (3) Speaking'da phrasal afzal (haddan lotincha — sun'iy); (4) open/close the light turn on/off; (5) kalka qilmang (discuss about ).
11. Chuqur tahlil — qo'shimcha faktlar va nozikliklar (IELTS 9 fokusi)
C1 dan C2 ga ko'prik.
(a) Phrasal verb — band 9 ning "ravonlik" tomoni. IELTS Speaking Fluency & Coherence va Lexical Resource ikkalasi phrasal verbni qadrlaydi: ular nutqni tabiiy va tez qiladi. Faqat lotincha so'z ishlatuvchi nomzod ("I will tolerate the inconvenience") — grammatik to'g'ri, lekin "kitobiy" (band 7). Phrasal bilan ("I'll put up with it") — native, band 9.
(b) Phrasal verb vs idiom — register farqi. Idiom (C1-9) asosan og'zaki/norasmiy — Academic Writing'da ehtiyot. Phrasal verb kengroq — ko'p rasmiy yozuvda ham OK ("the report sets out", "carry out research", "point out"). Faqat juda rasmiy/texnik kontekstda lotincha. Demak phrasal verb idiomdan xavfsizroq — Writing'da ham bemalol (mos tanlangani).
(c) Polisemiya — "flexibility" belgisi. Bitta phrasal verbning ko'p ma'nosini ishlatish (make out — ko'rmoq/tushunmoq/da'vo qilmoq) band 9 "full flexibility" ko'rsatadi. Lekin kontekst aniq bo'lishi shart — noaniq ma'no chalkashlik beradi.
(d) Particle (zarra) — semantik tizim. Zarralar tasodifiy emas — izchil ma'no beradi (up=tugallik/oshish, out=yo'qolish/to'liqlik). Bu tizimni anglagan o'rganuvchi yangi phrasal verbni taxmin qiladi ("They've used up the budget" — UP=tugallik). Bu — chuqur til hissi, faol so'z boyligini oshiradi.
(e) Otlashtirish — akademik ko'prik. Phrasal verb otga aylanib (break down a breakdown, set back a setback), akademik/rasmiy yozuvga kiradi: "an economic downturn", "a communication breakdown", "a major breakthrough". Bu otlar IELTS Writing'da kuchli (nominalizatsiya — akademik uslub, C1-14).
(f) Kalka — eng katta L1 xato. O'zbek/rus so'zlashuvchilar phrasal verbni so'zma-so'z tarjima qiladi yoki noto'g'ri predlog ishlatadi: "open the light" (yoqmoq), "discuss about", "explain me", "enter to the room". Inglizcha phrasal/fe'l+predlog o'ziga xos — yodlash kerak, tarjima qilib bo'lmaydi.
(g) "to" — predlog vs infinitiv (klassik tuzoq). "look forward to, get used to, be committed to, object to" — bu yerda to predlog, shuning uchun + V-ing (infinitiv emas!): "looking forward to seeing you" (to see ). Eng ko'p band-pasaytiruvchi xato. to + V1 (infinitiv) vs to + V-ing (predlog) farqi.
(h) Register "kalit" — ikkala yo'nalishda. Band 9 = mos register. Speaking'da haddan lotincha ("I shall endeavour to ascertain") — sun'iy/kulgili. Rasmiy hisobotda haddan phrasal ("we'll sort out the mess") — beparvo. Mahorat — kontekstga moslashish (B2-54). Bu "two Englishes" boshqaruvi — band 9 belgisi.
(i) IT/texnik phrasal verb. Texnik ingliz phrasal verbga to'la: roll out, back up, spin up, shut down, boot up, log in, push out, break down (a task), follow up, look into, set up, scale up/down. Bular xalqaro IT jamoasida standart — ulardan qochib lotincha ishlatish ("I will initialize the server" o'rniga "spin up") — noo'rin. Soha registriga ham moslashing.
(j) O'rganish strategiyasi — ma'no guruhi bilan. Phrasal verbni alifbo bilan emas, ma'no/mavzu bilan o'rganing: bir mavzudagilar (set up, roll out, scale up — IT) yoki bir fe'ldagilar (take off/on/over/up/in — take oilasi) yoki bir zarradagilar (up phrasal verblari). Kontekstda (dialog, matn) o'rganish — ro'yxatdan ko'ra samarali.
C2 ko'prik (IELTS 9native): phrasal verb — ingliz tilining "ikki yuzi"ning bir tomoni (anglo-sakson, tabiiy); lotincha so'z — ikkinchisi (rasmiy). C2/band 9 da siz ikkalasini ham erkin va mos boshqarasiz — Speaking'da ravon phrasal, rasmiy yozuvda aniq lotincha, va orasidagi har registr. Phrasal verbni polisemiyasi, otlashishi, zarra mantiqi bilan to'liq egallaysiz. Bu — boy input + faol ishlatish bilan keladi. Phrasal verb + idiom + kollokatsiya + nuance — Lexical Resource arsenali to'liq egallanadi. Keyingi dars (sofistikatsiyalangan lug'at) yuqori registr so'zlariga o'tadi.
