B2 — 10-dars: Modal perfects to'liq (should/could/would/needn't have)

B2 — YUQORI O'RTA · 10-dars

1. Dars nomi, maqsad va motivatsiya

O'tmishga qarab biz nafaqat xulosa chiqaramiz (B2-9), balki afsuslanamiz, tanqid qilamiz, o'zgacha imkonni tasavvur qilamiz: "Sizga aytishim kerak edi" (lekin aytmadim). B2-9 da modal perfectsni taxmin uchun ko'rdik. Bugun ularning boshqa funksiyalarini ochamiz: afsus/tanqid (should have), bajarilmagan imkon (could have), noreal o'tmish (would have), va keraksiz harakat (needn't have). Bular sizning ingliz tilingizni nozik va inson qiladi — chunki inson o'z o'tmishini doimo qayta baholaydi.

Real hayotda nega kerak:

• Afsus/o'z-o'zini tanqid: "I should have booked earlier."
• Boshqani tanqid (muloyim): "You could have told me!"
• Bajarilmagan imkon: "We could have won, but we gave up."
• Keraksiz ish: "You needn't have cooked — we ate already."

ASOSIY tushuncha — modal perfects = "o'tmishga modal nigoh". Hozirgi modal o'tmishga qaratilganda have + V3 qo'shiladi:

O'xshatish — "qaytarib ko'rish" (replay): modal perfects = o'yinni qaytarib ko'rib, "bu yerda boshqacha qilish kerak edi" deyish. Sportchi: "I should have passed the ball." "We could have scored." — har bir modal o'tmishni qayta baholaydi.

2. Avvalgi darslardan takror (spiral)

• B1-19 (Modal perfects kirish): should/could/would have + V3. Bugun to'liq + needn't have.
• B2-9 (deduction): must/can't/might have — taxmin. Bugun boshqa funksiyalar.
• B2-5 (3rd conditional): would have + V3 — bu yerda mustaqil ham ishlatiladi.
• Tez mashq: "Aytishim kerak edi (aytmadim)" I ___ have told you (should).

3. Grammatika — chuqur, to'liq tushuntirish

3.1. should/ought to have + V3 — afsus va tanqid

(a) O'z-o'zini tanqid / afsus:

I should have studied harder. (o'qishim kerak edi — o'qimadim, afsus)
I shouldn't have eaten so much. (yeyishim kerak emas edi — yedim)

(b) Boshqani tanqid (muloyim tanbeh):

You should have told me! (aytishingiz kerak edi)
He shouldn't have lied. (yolg'on gapirmasligi kerak edi)

(c) Kutilgan, lekin bo'lmagan natija:

The train should have arrived by now. (kelishi kerak edi — kelmadi)

should have + V3 = "to'g'ri/kerakli ish edi, lekin bajarilmadi". Afsus yoki yengil tanbeh. ought to have = bir xil ma'no, biroz rasmiyroq.

3.2. could have + V3 — bajarilmagan imkon/qobiliyat

We could have won the match. (yuta olardik — yutmadik)
You could have asked for help. (yordam so'rashing mumkin edi)
I could have been a doctor. (shifokor bo'lishim mumkin edi)

could have ikki ma'no:

• Bajarilmagan imkon: I could have helped, but I was busy. (yordam bera olardim).
• Tanqid (could have + tanbeh): You could have warned me! (ogohlantirishingiz mumkin edi — nega qilmadingiz?).
• Taxmin (B2-9): She could have missed the bus. (o'tkazib yuborgan bo'lishi mumkin). Kontekst ajratadi.

3.3. would have + V3 — noreal o'tmish (3rd conditional'siz ham)

I would have come, but I was ill. (kelardim, lekin kasal edim)
She would have helped if you'd asked. (3rd conditional)
He would have made a great teacher. (ajoyib o'qituvchi bo'lardi)

would have + V3 = "qilardim, lekin biror narsa to'sqinlik qildi". Ko'pincha but yoki if bilan.

3.4. needn't have + V3 vs didn't need to — NOZIK FARQ

ENG NOZIK farq:

• needn't have cooked = pishirdi (lekin behuda).
• didn't need to cook = pishirmadi (kerak yo'q edi) — yoki shunchaki "kerak emas edi". Bu — B2 ekzamenlarda sevimli savol!

3.5. may/might have + V3 — taxmin (B2-9 takror) + ruxsat afsusi

He might have forgotten. (unutgan bo'lishi mumkin — taxmin)
You might have warned me! (ogohlantirishingiz mumkin edi — yengil tanbeh)

3.6. "have", "of" emas + qisqartmalar

should have  should've    could have  could've    would have  would've

"should of" — bu eng ko'p uchraydigan xato (native'lar ham qiladi). should've talaffuzi "should of" kabi eshitiladi, lekin YOZISH XATO. Doim have: should have, could have, would have.

4. Native nozikliklari va qo'shimcha qoidalar

• should have vs could have (tanqid): should have = "to'g'ri ish edi" (axloqiy/maslahat). could have = "imkon bor edi" (imkoniyat). You should have apologised (kerak edi) vs You could have apologised (qila olarding).
• couldn't have + V3 ikki ma'no: (1) imkonsizlik xulosa: I couldn't have known (bila olmasdim); (2) "bundan ko'ra yaxshiroq bo'lishi mumkin emas edi": It couldn't have been better! (a'lo edi).
• needn't have = wasted effort: doimo "qilingan, lekin behuda" — afsus-yengillik ohangi.
• should have + been + V-ing: You should have been studying, not playing! (o'qiyotgan bo'lishingiz kerak edi).
• may well have = "katta ehtimol bilan qilgan": He may well have left already.
• would have + V3 = o'tmishga ishonchli taxmin (nafaqat noreal): That would have been John who called — he always rings at nine. (o'sha John bo'lgan, deb ishonch bilan taxmin qilyapman). Bu yerda would have if yoki but siz keladi va must havega yaqin, biroq muloyimroq/ehtiyotkorroq ohangda. IELTS Speaking'da tabiiy jaranglaydi.

5. Ko'p misollar

AFSUS:           I should have listened to you.
TANQID:          You could have called to say you'd be late.
NOREAL O'TMISH:  I would have helped, but no one asked me.
KERAKSIZ ISH:    You needn't have brought a gift.
IMKON:           She could have been famous if she'd kept singing.
A'LO (couldn't): The trip couldn't have gone better!
DAVOM:           He should have been working, but he was on his phone.

6. Holat/case yechimlari

1. "Sizga aytishim kerak edi." (aytmadim — afsus)

• I should have told you.

2. "Menga aytishingiz mumkin edi!" (nega aytmadingiz — tanbeh)

• You could have told me! / You should have told me!
• Farq: could = imkon bor edi; should = kerak edi (kuchliroq tanbeh).

3. "Sovg'a olib kelishingiz shart emas edi." (olib keldingiz — behuda)

• You needn't have brought a gift. (olib keldi, lekin shart emas edi).

4. "Ovqat pishirishim kerak emas edi — restoran bor edi." (pishirmadim)

• I didn't need to cook — there was a restaurant.
• Farq: needn't have cooked = pishirdi (behuda); didn't need to = pishirmadi/kerak yo'q edi.

5. "Kelardim, lekin band edim."

• I would have come, but I was busy.

6. "I should of called" — to'g'rilang.

• should of should have called / should've called.

7. Kengaytirilgan lug'at + kollokatsiya

Tayyor iboralar:

• I should have known better. — Bilishim kerak edi (aqlim yetishi kerak edi).
• You could have warned me! — Ogohlantirishingiz mumkin edi!
• In hindsight, I would have... — Keyin o'ylasam, men ...
• You needn't have bothered. — Bezovta bo'lishingiz shart emas edi.

8. Dialog

A: I'm so sorry I'm late. The traffic was terrible. B: You could have texted me. I was worried. A: You're right, I should have. My phone died. B: You should have charged it before leaving! A: I know, I know. Anyway, you needn't have waited outside — it's freezing. B: It's fine. Honestly, I would have gone in, but I didn't have the booking details. A: Ah. I should have sent those too. In hindsight, I could have handled this whole evening better. B: Don't worry. It couldn't have been easy with all that traffic.

Tahlil: could have texted (imkon/tanbeh), should have (afsus), should have charged (tanqid), needn't have waited (keraksiz), would have gone (noreal), should have sent (afsus), could have handled (imkon), couldn't have been easy (a'lo/imkonsiz). To'liq modal perfect palitra.

9. O'qish — graded matn

The climber's confession

Looking back, I realise I should have turned around. The weather was changing, and any experienced climber would have known the signs. But I was stubborn.

I could have reached the summit safely if I'd started earlier. Instead, I pushed on into the storm. I shouldn't have ignored my partner's warning — he could have been hurt because of my pride.

When we finally got down, exhausted, my partner just smiled. "You needn't have apologised so many times," he said. "We made it. But next time, listen."

He was right. In hindsight, the whole ordeal could have ended in disaster. We were lucky — and luck shouldn't have been part of the plan.

Savollar: (1) Matndan 2 ta should have (afsus/tanqid) toping. (2) "You needn't have apologised" — apologise qilingan-mi yoki yo'q? (3) "could have been hurt" ma'nosi?
