B2 — MAXSUS dars: Speculation, certainty & probability (taxmin, ishonch, ehtimol)

B2 — YUQORI O'RTA · funksional dars · (kengaytirilgan chuqurlik)

1. Dars nomi, maqsad va motivatsiya

Biz dunyo haqida kamdan-kam 100% aniq gapiramiz — ko'pincha ishonch darajasi bilan: "u aniq uyda", "ehtimol kelar", "bo'lishi mumkin", "aslo bo'lmaydi". Bu — ishonch va ehtimol (certainty & probability) tili: must be, might be, definitely, probably, it's bound to, there's no way, I bet, I doubt. Ishonch darajasini to'g'ri ifodalash — fikrni aniq va ishonarli bildirishning, mas'uliyatli gapirish (haddan ortiq qat'iy bo'lmaslik)ning kalitidir.

B2-9/10 da modallarni grammatika sifatida ko'rdik; bu funksional dars ularni ishonch shkalasi sifatida birlashtiradi va ravishlar, sifatlar, fe'llar bilan boyitadi. Bu — IELTS Speaking/Writing (bashorat, taxmin), intervyu ("Where do you see yourself in 5 years?"), va kundalik mulohaza uchun zarur. Dasturchi sifatida: "It's probably a memory leak", "There's no way that test passed" — debugging tili.

Real hayotda nega kerak:

  • Aniqlik: "He's definitely the best candidate."
  • Ehtimol: "It'll probably rain later."
  • Taxmin: "She must be stuck in traffic."
  • Shubha: "I doubt he'll come."

ASOSIY tushuncha — ishonch SHKALASI (0% 100%):

Ishonch Modal Ravish Ibora
100% ijobiy must be definitely, certainly it's bound to, there's no doubt
~75% should be probably it's likely (that), chances are
~50% might/may/could be possibly, perhaps, maybe it's possible (that)
~25% might not probably not it's unlikely, I doubt
0% (imkonsiz) can't be definitely not there's no way, no chance

O'xshatish — "ob-havo prognozi": ishonch tili — ob-havo prognozchisi kabi. U "yog'adi" demaydi — "yomg'ir ehtimoli 80%" (probably), "60%" (possibly), "10%" (unlikely) deydi. Yaxshi gapiruvchi ham aniqlik darajasini ko'rsatadi: must be (deyarli aniq), might be (ehtimol), can't be (imkonsiz). Bu — mas'uliyatli, aniq muloqot.

Til-pragmatik fakti: ingliz tilida haddan ortiq qat'iy gapirish ("This is definitely wrong") ba'zan qo'pol yoki xavfli eshitiladi. Native ko'pincha yumshatadi: "This might not be quite right", "I suspect there's an issue". Bu — "hedging" (ehtiyotkor til) — professional va xushmuomala muloqotning belgisi. O'zbek/to'g'ridan uslubdan farqli, ingliz tilida noaniqlikni tan olish — kuch.

2. Avvalgi darslardan takror (spiral)

I'm not entirely sure, but... / I could be wrong, but... / Correct me if I'm wrong, ...
It's hard to say / It's difficult to tell / Your guess is as good as mine.

Native siri: noaniqlikni tan olish professional ohang beradi: "I'm not 100% sure, but I think..." / "Don't quote me on this, but...". Bu — bilmaganini yashirmasdan, lekin foydali fikr bildirish (intervyu/jamoa uchun ideal).

6. Yangi so'zlar (Anki jadvali) + kollokatsiya

English IPA O'zbekcha Misol gap

likely / unlikely /ˈlaɪkli/ ehtimol / dargumon It's likely to rain.
chances are ehtimoli bor Chances are he's late.

Kollokatsiya/chunk: I wouldn't be surprised if..., it's only a matter of time, you never know, it remains to be seen, time will tell, it's anyone's guess, the chances of (X happening).

Native chunk: "I wouldn't be surprised if..." = "ajab emaski..." (ehtimolni muloyim aytish): I wouldn't be surprised if she got promoted. Va "It remains to be seen" = "hali ma'lum emas, ko'ramiz".

7. Dialog + o'qish matni

Dialog (taxmin — bug debugging): A: The app keeps crashing. Any idea why? B: Hard to say. It might be a memory leak, but I'm not sure. A: Could it be the new update? B: Possibly. In fact, chances are it's related — the timing fits. It's bound to be something in that release. A: Do you think it's serious? B: I doubt it's critical, but I can't be certain. It's probably a quick fix. A: So we'll have it sorted by tonight? B: In all likelihood, yes. Though you never know with these things — it could turn out to be deeper. I'll know more once I've checked the logs.

Tahlil: Hard to say / might be / I'm not sure (noaniqlik), Possibly / chances are / It's bound to (ehtimolishonch), I doubt / I can't be certain / probably (kichik ishonch), In all likelihood / you never know / could turn out (kelajak taxmini). To'liq ishonch shkalasi.

O'qish (graded):

Predicting the future

Humans have always tried to predict the future — and we are usually wrong. Experts confidently declare that something is "certain" or "impossible," only to be proved mistaken.

In 1943, the chairman of IBM reportedly said there was "a world market for maybe five computers." He couldn't have been more wrong. Chances are, today's bold predictions will look just as foolish in fifty years.

The truth is, the future is unlikely to follow our expectations. It might surprise us; it could disappoint us; in all likelihood, it will do both. As one scientist put it: "It's bound to be different from anything we imagine — that much, at least, is certain."

So the wisest forecasters hedge. They don't say "this will happen." They say "this seems probable," or "this may well occur." Perhaps real intelligence lies not in certainty, but in knowing how little we can be sure of.

Topshiriq: Matndan har xil ishonch darajasidagi 5 ifoda toping.

8. O'zbekcha-inglizcha tipik xatolar (L1 transfer)

Xato Sababi (L1 transfer) To'g'risi
He mustn't be home (taxmin) inkor xulosa mustn't He can't be home
It's possible that he comes possible + Present It's possible that he will come / he might come
Maybe he will to come maybe + struktura Maybe he'll come
I'm doubt doubt fe'l/ot aralash I doubt (that)... / I have doubts
He probably not come probably o'rni He probably won't come
It will definitely happens will + V1 It will definitely happen
There is no way that he can did it tense There's no way he could have done it
I think probably yes qo'sh Probably. / I think so.

Asosiy tuzoq: (1) inkor xulosa = can't (mustn't = taqiq — B2-9); (2) probably/definitely/certainly — fe'l/yordamchi oldida (probably won't, will definitely); (3) I doubt that... (fe'l) yoki I have doubts (ot).

9. Chuqur tahlil — qo'shimcha faktlar va nozikliklar

B2 dan C1 ga ko'prik.

(a) Ravish o'rni — ishonch ravishlari. probably/definitely/certainly — yordamchidan keyin (will definitely), asosiy fe'l oldida (definitely agree), inkorda yordamchidan oldin (probably won't). maybe/perhaps — gap boshida (Maybe he's right).

(b) "likely" — ikki tuzilma. It's likely that he'll come (it + likely + that) yoki He's likely to come (ega + likely + to). Ikkalasi to'g'ri. probably esa faqat ravish (He'll probably come).

(c) "must/can't" — faqat XULOSA, majburiyat emas. Bu kontekstda must be = "aniq shunday deb o'ylayman" (taxmin), majburiyat emas. can't be = "imkonsiz" (taqiq emas). (B2-9 takror, lekin pragmatik jihatdan muhim.)

(d) "I doubt" vs "I suspect" — teskari. I doubt he'll come = "kelmas deb o'ylayman" (salbiy). I suspect he's lying = "yolg'on deb gumon qilaman" (ijobiy gumon). doubt — ehtimoldan yiroqlik; suspect — ehtimol.

(e) "bound to" vs "likely to". bound to = "muqarrar, 99%" (It's bound to fail). likely to = "ehtimol, ~70%" (It's likely to fail). Ishonch darajasi farq qiladi.

(f) Hedging — akademik/professional. "X causes Y" (qat'iy) "X may contribute to Y" / "X appears to be linked with Y" (ehtiyotkor). Ilmiy yozuv noaniqlikni tan oladi — bu kuch, zaiflik emas (C1-4).

(g) "presumably" vs "supposedly". presumably = "mantiqan ehtimol" (men taxmin qilaman). supposedly = "aytishlaricha (lekin men shubhalanaman)" — kinoya tusi: He's supposedly an expert (go'yo mutaxassis — shubha).

(h) Ishonchni so'rash. Are you sure? / How certain are you? / What are the chances? / Do you really think so? — boshqaning ishonch darajasini so'rash. Munozarada muhim.

(i) "will/won't" — HOZIRGI haqida ishonchli xulosa. will faqat kelajak emas: hozirgi holat haqida deyarli aniq taxminni ham bildiradi (≈ must). Eshik qoqilsa: "That'll be the postman." (aniq pochtachi). "Don't call him now — he'll be asleep." (hozir uxlayotgan bo'lsa kerak). "She won't know yet." (hali bilmayotgan bo'lsa kerak). Bu — native ravonlikning nozik belgisi; IELTS Speaking'da tabiiy eshitiladi.

(j) "may well / might well / could well" — kuchaytirilgan ehtimol. well qo'shilsa, ehtimol darajasi ko'tariladi (~40% ~65%): "It may well be true." = "chindan ham rost bo'lishi mumkin" (shunchaki may be dan ishonchliroq). O'qish matnida bor: "this may well occur". Akademik va professional yozuvda juda keng ishlatiladi.

(k) "should / ought to" — kutish, aniqlik emas. should be = mantiqan kutilgan natija, lekin kafolat yo'q: "The parcel should arrive today" (kutamiz, lekin kechikishi mumkin). ought to — deyarli bir xil ma'no, biroz kamroq ishlatiladi. Bu — ~75% ishonch, must (deyarli aniq) dan pastroq. Ko'pincha kutilgan, ammo tasdiqlanmagan holatga ishora qiladi.

(l) "surely" — ishonch emas, tasdiq izlash. definitely/certainly dan farqli, surely ko'pincha rozilik so'rash yoki hayratlanish tusini beradi: "Surely you're not serious?" (rostdan-mi?), "Surely they'll notice" (albatta sezishadi-ku?). Ya'ni gapiruvchi javob kutadi — bu sof ishonch bildirish emas.

C1 ko'prik: ishonch darajasini aniq sozlash (must/might/can't, definitely/probably/possibly, bound to/likely to/unlikely to) — professional ravonlikning belgisi. Haddan qat'iy ("This will definitely work") yoki haddan noaniq ("Maybe, I don't know") emas — mos daraja. Bu — intervyu va jamoaviy ishda ishonchni ko'rsatadi.

10. Mashqlar (drills)

A. Ishonch darajasiga qarab joylashtiring (100% / 75% / 50% / 25% / 0%):

11. Amaliy topshiriq (Wisar AI bilan)

Maqsad: ishonch darajalarini real, taxminiy vaziyatda erkin ifodalash.

Vazifa — taxmin o'yini: Men sizga sirli/noaniq vaziyat beraman, masalan: "Your colleague hasn't replied to messages for two days and missed an important meeting. What do you think is going on?" (yoki texnik: "The production server suddenly slowed down at 3am. What could be the cause?").

Siz detektiv kabi taxmin qiling — har xil ishonch darajasida kamida 6 ehtimol ayting, quyidagilardan foydalanib:

  • 1 ta katta ishonch (must be / is bound to / definitely)
  • 1 ta o'rta (probably / chances are / is likely to)
  • 2 ta kichik ishonch (might/could be / perhaps / possibly)
  • 1 ta imkonsizlik (can't be / there's no way)
  • 1 ta o'tmish taxmini (must have / might have + V3)

Masalan: "Well, he might have had a family emergency. Chances are his phone is broken. There's no way he'd ignore us on purpose — he's too reliable. He could be ill. In all likelihood, there's a simple explanation."

"Tayyor" mezonlari: (1) 6 ehtimol, har xil ishonch darajasida; (2) inkor xulosa = can't (NOT mustn't); (3) o'tmish taxmini have + V3; (4) ravish o'rni to'g'ri; (5) tabiiy, mulohazali ohang.

Men taxminlaringizni baholayman va ishonch ifodalaridagi xatolarni sababi bilan tushuntiraman.
