Ingliz tili kursi/B2 Yuqori Orta12 daqiqa

B2 — MAXSUS dars: American vs British English (AmE va BrE farqlari)

B2 — YUQORI O'RTA · to'ldirish dars · (kengaytirilgan chuqurlik)

1. Dars nomi, maqsad va motivatsiya

Ingliz tili ikki asosiy "lahja"ga ega: Amerika inglizchasi (American English / AmE) va Britaniya inglizchasi (British English / BrE). Ular bir-birini to'liq tushunadi, lekin imlo (color/colour), lug'at (apartment/flat), grammatika (gotten/got), va talaffuzda farq qiladi. Dasturchi sifatida siz har ikkalasiga ham duch kelasiz: amerikalik kompaniyalar (AmE), britaniyalik mijozlar (BrE), va aralash xalqaro jamoalar.

Bu farqlar butun kurs bo'ylab eslatib o'tilgan; bu dars ularni bir joyga to'playdi — shunda siz (a) ikkalasini ham tushunasiz, (b) bittasini izchil ishlatasiz (aralashtirmang!), va (c) imtihon/ish kontekstiga moslashasiz. IELTS ikkalasini ham qabul qiladi (izchil bo'lsa); TOEFL — AmE.

Real hayotda nega kerak:

  • Izchillik: color yoki colour — bittasini tanlang, aralashtirmang.
  • Tushunish: amerikalik "sidewalk" = britaniyalik "pavement".
  • Ish: AmE kompaniya hujjati vs BrE mijoz emaili.
  • Imtihon: TOEFL AmE; IELTS ikkalasi (izchil).

ASOSIY tushuncha — 4 soha bo'yicha farq:

Soha AmE BrE
Imlo color, center, organize, traveling colour, centre, organise, travelling
Lug'at apartment, elevator, truck, fall flat, lift, lorry, autumn
Grammatika gotten, do you have, on the weekend got, have you got, at the weekend
Talaffuz rotik /r/ (car-r), /æ/ (dance) /r/ tushadi, /ɑː/ (dahnce)

O'xshatish — "ikki shevali do'st": AmE va BrE — bir tilning ikki shevasi, xuddi o'zbek tilining Toshkent va Farg'ona shevasi kabi. Ikkovi bir-birini tushunadi, lekin ba'zi so'z/talaffuz farq qiladi. Sizning maqsadingiz — ikkovini tushunish, lekin bittasida izchil gapirish/yozish. Yarmi amerikacha, yarmi britancha — "g'alati" eshitiladi.

Til-fakti: dunyoda AmE ko'proq tarqalgan (Hollywood, texnologiya, internet) — shuning uchun ko'p o'rganuvchi (va dasturchilar) AmE'ga moyil. Lekin Cambridge imtihonlari (FCE/IELTS) BrE asosida, garchi AmE ham qabul qilinsa. Texnologiyada esa AmE imlo standart (color CSS'da, initialize kodda). Kontekst muhim: kod AmE; rasmiy BrE hujjat BrE.

2. Avvalgi darslardan takror (spiral)

  • Butun kurs: AmE/BrE farqlari eslatilgan (gotten B2-2, quite B2-26, -ise/-ize B2-52). Bugun bir joyga.
  • B2-52 (word formation): -ise/-ize farqi.
  • LUGAT 42-JADVAL (imlo): -our/-or, -re/-er.
  • Tez mashq: AmE BrE: apartment ? (flat), elevator ? (lift).

3. IMLO farqlari (spelling) — eng ko'rinarli

Qoida AmE BrE
-or / -our color, favor, honor, labor, neighbor colour, favour, honour, labour, neighbour
-er / -re center, theater, meter, liter centre, theatre, metre, litre
-ize / -ise organize, realize, analyze organise, realise, analyse
-yze / -yse analyze, paralyze analyse, paralyse
-l / -ll (urg'usiz) traveling, canceled, modeling travelling, cancelled, modelling
-og / -ogue catalog, dialog catalogue, dialogue
-se / -ce (ot) defense, license, practice defence, licence (ot)/license (fe'l)
Boshqa gray, jewelry, program, tire, check grey, jewellery, programme, tyre, cheque

AmE — soddalashtirilgan imloga moyil (color, center, catalog). Texnologiyada AmE standart (color: red CSS, initialize kodda).

4. LUG'AT farqlari (vocabulary) — eng chalkash

O'zbekcha AmE BrE
kvartira apartment flat
lift elevator lift
yuk mashinasi truck lorry
kuz fall / autumn autumn
ta'til vacation holiday
metro subway underground / tube
benzin gas / gasoline petrol
trotuar sidewalk pavement
chiqindi trash / garbage rubbish
pechenye cookie biscuit
kartoshka frisi (french) fries chips
chips chips crisps
navbat line queue
dam olish kunlari weekend (on the ~) weekend (at the ~)
telefon (mobil) cell phone mobile (phone)
futbol soccer football
dorixona drugstore / pharmacy chemist's
do'kon store shop
bilet ticket ticket
pochta mail post
birinchi qavat first floor ground floor

Eng xavfli: chips — BrE'da "kartoshka frisi" (qalin, issiq), AmE'da esa "chips" = nozik quruq chipslar (BrE buni crisps deydi). Ya'ni bir so'z ikki xil taomni bildiradi. Va first floor — AmE: 1-qavat; BrE: 2-qavat (BrE 1-qavat = ground floor)! Bu — chinakam tushunmovchilik manbai.

5. GRAMMATIKA farqlari

Jihat AmE BrE
get (V3) gotten (I've gotten) got (I've got)
have/have got Do you have...? Have you got...? / Do you have...?
Present Perfect vs Past I just ate (Past ham OK) I've just eaten (Perfect afzal)
collective nouns The team is (birlik) The team is/are (ikkalasi)
predloglar on the weekend, on a team, different than at the weekend, in a team, different from/to
shall kam (will) Shall I/we...? keng
needn't don't need to needn't / don't need to
sana month/day/year (March 5) day/month/year (5 March)

Farqlar kichik — ikkalasi tushuniladi. Lekin izchillik muhim: AmE yozsangiz, gotten, on the weekend, color — birga; BrE — got, at the weekend, colour.

6. Yangi so'zlar (Anki jadvali) — AmE/BrE juftliklari

AmE BrE IPA (BrE) O'zbekcha
apartment flat /flæt/ kvartira
elevator lift /lɪft/ lift
vacation holiday /ˈhɒlədeɪ/ ta'til
subway underground/tube /tjuːb/ metro
gas petrol /ˈpetrəl/ benzin
garbage rubbish /ˈrʌbɪʃ/ chiqindi
schedule timetable /ˈtaɪmteɪbl/ jadval
line queue /kjuː/ navbat
sidewalk pavement /ˈpeɪvmənt/ trotuar
fall autumn /ˈɔːtəm/ kuz

Chunk: take a vacation (AmE) / go on holiday (BrE); ride the subway / take the tube; the fall / autumn; on/at the weekend.

Native siri — talaffuz farqi (asosiy): (1) AmE rotik — /r/ doim aytiladi (car = "kar-r"); BrE — unlidan keyin /r/ tushadi (car = "kaa"). (2) dance, can't, bath — AmE /æ/ ("dans"), BrE /ɑː/ ("daans"). (3) schedule — AmE "skedʒul", BrE "shedyul". (4) -tile (mobile) — AmE "mobl", BrE "mobail".

7. Dialog + o'qish matni

Dialog (AmE va BrE so'zlashuvchi): A (American): I'm taking the elevator to my apartment. Wanna grab some fries? B (British): Sorry — you mean the lift to your flat? And chips, not fries! Ha, we speak the same language but not really. A: Tell me about it. I asked for the "restroom" yesterday and got a blank look. B: We'd say "the toilet" or "the loo." And we queue, you stand in line. A: And the dates confuse me — you write the day first! B: Right, 5 March, not March 5. Honestly, once you know the patterns, it's easy. Just don't mix them up. A: Agreed. I'll stick to American; you stick to British. Deal? B: Deal. As long as we both understand each other, that's what counts.

Tahlil: elevator/lift, apartment/flat, fries/chips, restroom/toilet, line/queue, sana tartibi — asosiy farqlar tabiiy suhbatda.

O'qish (bir matn, ikki versiya):

AmE: "Last fall, I took a vacation to New York. I rented an apartment downtown, rode the subway every day, and grabbed coffee and a cookie each morning. The neighborhood had great theaters, and the whole trip was a favorite memory."

BrE: "Last autumn, I went on holiday to New York. I rented a flat in the centre, took the underground every day, and grabbed coffee and a biscuit each morning. The neighbourhood had great theatres, and the whole trip was a favourite memory."

Topshiriq: Ikki versiyani solishtiring — har bir farqni (imlo + lug'at) toping.

8. Tipik xatolar (aralashtirish)

Xato (aralash) Sababi To'g'risi (izchil)
I got my colour from the store AmE/BrE aralash AmE: got/color/store yoki BrE: got/colour/shop
I've gotten it at the weekend gotten(AmE)+at the weekend(BrE) AmE: ...on the weekend / BrE: I've got...at the weekend
organize the colour -ize(AmE)+-our(BrE) organize/color (AmE) yoki organise/colour (BrE)
different than (BrE kontekst) AmE BrE: different from/to
first floor (ground nazarda, BrE) qavat farqi BrE: ground floor
Math (BrE kontekst) AmE qisqartma BrE: Maths

Asosiy tuzoq: AmE va BrE'ni aralashtirmang — bittasini tanlang va izchil ishlating. Imlo (color/colour), lug'at (apartment/flat), grammatika (gotten/got) — hammasi bir "oila"da bo'lsin.

9. Chuqur tahlil — qo'shimcha faktlar va nozikliklar

B2 dan C1 ga ko'prik.

(a) "quite" — ma'no farqi (B2-26). BrE: quite good = "yaxshigina" (biroz pasaytiruvchi). AmE: quite good = "juda yaxshi" (kuchaytiruvchi). Bir so'z, teskari tus — chalkashlik manbai.

(b) "first floor" — jismoniy farq. AmE: kirish qavati = first floor. BrE: kirish qavati = ground floor, keyingisi = first floor. Liftda tugma bosishda muhim! (BrE: G, 1, 2...).

(c) Sana yozish. AmE: oy/kun/yil (03/05/2024 = March 5). BrE: kun/oy/yil (03/05/2024 = 3 May). 03/05 ikki xil o'qiladi — rasmiy hujjatda oyni so'z bilan yozing (5 March 2024).

(d) Texnologiya — AmE standart. Kod va texnik kontekstda AmE imlo: color, initialize, center, gray, license. CSS color: red (NOT colour). Britaniyalik dasturchilar ham kodda AmE imlo ishlatadi (lekin hujjat/kommentda BrE bo'lishi mumkin).

(e) Punktuatsiya farqi. AmE: nuqta/vergul qo'shtirnoq ichida ("word,"). BrE: tashqarida ("word",). AmE: Mr. (nuqta bilan); BrE: Mr (nuqtasiz).

(f) "I'm good" vs "I'm well". AmE: "How are you?" — "I'm good" (keng). BrE: an'anaviy "I'm well/fine" (grammatik jihatdan to'g'riroq). Ikkalasi tushuniladi.

(g) Past Simple vs Present Perfect. AmE just/already/yet bilan Past Simple ham ishlatadi (I just ate); BrE Present Perfect afzal (I've just eaten). Ikkalasi to'g'ri, lekin BrE qat'iyroq (B1-3).

(h) "Xavfli" so'zlar — ma'nosi butunlay o'zgaradi. Ba'zi so'zlar ikki lahjada tamoman boshqa narsani bildiradi, shuning uchun ular xatolik (va noqulaylik) manbai bo'ladi: pants — AmE: shim; BrE: ichki ishton (BrE shim = trousers). rubber — AmE: prezervativ; BrE: o'chirg'ich (rezinka). first floor — yuqorida aytilgani. Bunday so'zlarni ishlatganda kontekstga alohida e'tibor bering.

(i) Avstraliya/Kanada — aralash. Kanada: AmE talaffuz + ko'pincha BrE imlo (colour). Avstraliya: BrE'ga yaqin. Lekin asosiy ikkilik — AmE va BrE. Boshqalari shu ikkisi orasida.

C1 ko'prik: AmE/BrE farqlarini bilish — global muloqotning belgisi. Native ikkalasini ham tushunadi va kontekstga moslashadi. Sizning maqsadingiz: ikkovini tushunish (film/hujjat/jamoa), bittasida izchil yozish/gapirish. Dasturchi sifatida: kod AmE; rasmiy BrE mijoz BrE.
