B2 — 26-dars: Adjectives — gradable/non-gradable + intensifiers + tartib
B2 — YUQORI O'RTA · 26-dars · (kengaytirilgan chuqurlik)
1. Dars nomi, maqsad va motivatsiya
Sifatlar — tilning "ranglari". Lekin ularni kuchaytirish (very, absolutely, quite) va tartiblash (a beautiful old wooden table) — bu yerda nozik qoidalar bor. "very freezing" deyish mumkin emas (chunki freezing allaqachon "o'ta sovuq"), lekin "absolutely freezing" to'g'ri. "a black big car" noto'g'ri tartib — to'g'risi "a big black car". Bu qoidalar — native ravonlikning, "tabiiy eshitilish"ning belgisi.
B1-da (31-dars) sifat va ravishlar bilan ishlashni ko'rdingiz. B2-da ularni chuqur o'rganamiz: gradable (oddiy: cold) vs non-gradable/extreme (kuchli: freezing) sifatlar va ularning maxsus kuchaytirgichlari; sifat tartibi (eng murakkab qoidalardan biri); va sifatlarning gapdagi o'rni. Bu — yozuv va nutqni "professional" qiladi, IELTS Speaking/Writing'da band oshiradi.
Real hayotda nega kerak:
- Aniq baho: "It was absolutely brilliant!" (NOT very brilliant)
- Nozik daraja: "The film was quite good." (yaxshigina) vs "quite amazing" (mutlaqo ajoyib)
- Tabiiy tartib: "a lovely little Italian restaurant" (NOT a Italian little lovely)
- Tasvir: "She felt utterly exhausted."
ASOSIY tushuncha — ikki turdagi sifat, ikki turdagi kuchaytirgich:
Gradable (oddiy) Non-gradable / Extreme (kuchli) Misol cold, big, tired, good, hot freezing, huge, exhausted, perfect, boiling Ma'no "ko'p yoki kam" bo'lishi mumkin allaqachon "eng yuqori daraja" Kuchaytirgich very, quite, fairly, rather, a bit, extremely absolutely, completely, totally, utterly Misol very cold , absolutely cold absolutely freezing , very freezing
O'xshatish — "ovoz balandligi": gradable sifat — ovoz tugmasi (0 dan 10 gacha sozlash mumkin: a bit cold very cold). Non-gradable sifat — allaqachon "10 da" (freezing = eng baland). "10 ni yana balandlatib bo'lmaydi" — shuning uchun very freezing . Lekin "mutlaqo, butunlay 10" deyish mumkin absolutely freezing .
Til fakti: ingliz tilida sifat tartibi qattiq qoidaga bo'ysunadi (opinion size age shape colour origin material purpose). Native bu tartibni ongsiz biladi — "a big red ball" to'g'ri, "a red big ball" "g'alati" eshitiladi, garchi ma'no aniq bo'lsa ham. O'zbek tilida tartib erkinroq, shuning uchun bu qoidani ongli o'rganish kerak.
2. Avvalgi darslardan takror (spiral)

8. Dialog
A: How was the new restaurant? B: Oh, it was absolutely fantastic! The food was utterly delicious. A: Really? I heard it was quite expensive. B: Well, fairly pricey, yes, but worth it. The place itself is gorgeous — a lovely little old Italian bistro near the river. A: Sounds pretty nice. Was it busy? B: Completely packed. We were incredibly lucky to get a table. By the end, though, I was absolutely stuffed — and totally exhausted from the long day. A: Ha! So, quite an evening, then? B: Definitely. It felt wonderful to relax. The whole thing was really memorable.
Tahlil: absolutely fantastic, utterly delicious, completely packed, totally exhausted, absolutely stuffed (absolutely/completely + extreme), quite expensive (fairly), fairly pricey (gradable), a lovely little old Italian bistro (tartib: opinion-size-age-origin), incredibly lucky (gradable), quite an evening (quite + ot), really memorable (really). To'liq tizim.
9. O'qish — graded matn (kengaytirilgan)
The art of exaggeration
English speakers love intensity. Something isn't just good — it's absolutely brilliant. A bad day isn't bad — it's utterly disastrous. We are, perhaps, a slightly dramatic people.
But there's an art to it. Say "very unique" and you'll sound completely wrong — because unique is already absolute; it can't be graded. Likewise, "quite perfect" means entirely perfect, while "quite good" means merely fairly good — a difference that confuses learners no end.
Word order matters too. A "big old red barn" sounds natural; a "red old big barn" sounds distinctly odd, even though both are perfectly clear.
Master these subtle rules, and your English will sound not just correct, but genuinely native — which is, after all, the whole point.
Savollar: (1) Nega "very unique" noto'g'ri? (2) "quite perfect" va "quite good" — ma'no farqi nima? (3) "big old red barn" — tartib qoidasini ko'ring (size-age-colour). (4) Matndan extreme + intensifier juftligini toping.
10. Keng tarqalgan xatolar (L1 ta'siri) — kengaytirilgan
| Xato | To'g'ri | Sabab |
|---|---|---|
| very freezing | absolutely freezing | extreme absolutely |
| absolutely cold | very cold | gradable very |
| a black big car | a big black car | size oldin, colour keyin |
| a Italian lovely restaurant | a lovely Italian restaurant | opinion oldin |
| It smells well | It smells good | linking verb + sifat |
| an asleep child | a sleeping child | asleep faqat predicative |
| very unique / very perfect | absolutely unique / completely perfect | absolute sifat |
| I'm very interesting (=qiziqaman) | I'm very interested | -ed = men |
| She looks beautifully | She looks beautiful | look + sifat |
| The poors | The poor | sifat = guruh (s yo'q) |
Asosiy tuzoqlar (4 ta): (1) gradable very/quite, extreme absolutely/completely; (2) sifat tartibi (Opinion-Size-Age-Shape-Colour-Origin-Material-Purpose); (3) linking verb (smell/look/feel) + sifat (ravish emas); (4) quite ikki ma'no (gradable=fairly, extreme=completely).
11. Chuqur tahlil — qo'shimcha faktlar va nozikliklar
B2 dan C1 ga ko'prik.
(a) "absolute" sifatlar — gradlanmaydi. unique, perfect, impossible, dead, free, full, empty, equal, complete — mantiqan "100%": very unique (yoki to'liq unikal, yoki yo'q). Ammo og'zaki tilda "very unique" ko'p eshitiladi (norasmiy — lekin rasmiy yozuvda ishlatmang).
(b) "quite" — BrE vs AmE. BrE: quite good = "yomon emas, o'rtacha" (biroz pasaytiruvchi). AmE: quite good = "very good" (kuchaytiruvchi). Bir so'z, ikki dialekt — kontekst muhim.
(c) "rather" — salbiy yoki kutilmagan bilan. rather cold, rather difficult (kutilmagandan ko'proq). rather ko'pincha "kutganimdan ko'proq" tusini beradi; ijobiyda rather nice = "kutmagandim, lekin yaxshi".
(d) Sifat tartibi — "comma yoki yo'q". Bir xil turdagi (coordinate) sifatlar vergul bilan: a cold, wet, miserable day (hammasi opinion/ob-havo). Turli turdagi vergulsiz: a big black dog. Test: "and" qo'yib bo'lsa vergul.
(e) "-ed/-ing" sifatlar — manba. interesting (narsa qiziq) / interested (men qiziqaman). Tuzilma: narsa -ing, his egasi -ed. boring/bored, exciting/excited, tiring/tired, confusing/confused (B1-33c).
(f) Sifat + predlog (B1-33). good at, interested in, afraid of, proud of, keen on — sifatlar o'z predloglarini "talab qiladi".
(g) Sifatning otga aylanishi — ikki tur. the rich (= odamlar, ko'plik) vs the unknown (= mavhum tushuncha, birlik): Fear of the unknown. Millat: the French.
(h) Kuchaytirgich + kollokatsiya (qotib qolgan). bitterly cold/disappointed, highly likely/unlikely, deeply concerned/grateful, fully aware, strongly oppose — har biri belgilangan juftlik (LUGAT B2-6). Bularni erkin almashtirib bo'lmaydi.
(i) Extreme/absolute sifatlar taqqoslanmaydi ham. Non-gradable sifat very qabul qilmagani kabi, comparative/superlative ham qabul qilmaydi: more freezing , the most perfect , more unique — mantiqan "eng yuqori daraja" allaqachon o'zida. To'g'ri yo'l: gradable juftlikni taqqoslang (colder, NOT more freezing), yoki absolutely/nearly bilan kuchaytiring. (Adabiy istisno: AQSh Konstitutsiyasidagi "a more perfect union" — atayin, uslubiy.)
C1 ko'prik: kuchaytirgich tanlovi (very/absolutely/quite/bitterly/highly) — native ravonlikning eng nozik belgisi. Noto'g'ri juftlik (very freezing, highly tired) darrov "o'rganuvchi"ni fosh qiladi. Yechim: kollokatsiyalarni blok sifatida yodlash.
12. Mashqlar (drills) + production
A. To'g'ri kuchaytirgichni tanlang (very / absolutely):
- It's ___ boiling in here!
- The exam was ___ difficult.
- I was ___ terrified.
- She's ___ tired today.
- The view was ___ stunning.
B. Sifatlarni to'g'ri tartibga qo'ying:
- (Italian / a / leather / lovely) bag
- (old / big / a / wooden) table
- (red / small / a / Spanish) guitar
C. Xatoni tuzating:
- It's very freezing outside.
- a green big bottle.
- The soup tastes well.
- I'm very boring in this lesson. (=zerikyapman)
- The film was absolutely good.
D. Production: Bir narsa/joy/odamni 4 gapda ta'riflang — kamida 2 ta extreme sifat (+absolutely/completely), 1 ta to'g'ri tartibli sifat ketma-ketligi, 1 ta linking verb (look/feel/sound + sifat).
Amaliy topshiriq: Maqsad: sifatlarni daraja va tartib bilan to'g'ri ishlatish. Vazifa: "The best/worst experience I've had" — 6 gaplik tasvir. Mezon: (1) 2 ta extreme sifat + absolutely/completely; (2) 1 ta quite (ma'noga e'tibor); (3) 1 ta 2-3 sifatli to'g'ri tartib; (4) 1 ta linking verb + sifat; (5) gradable/extreme moslik to'g'ri.
